LOCAL BACKUPS

To have local backups, on multiple sites, is essential in any company or organization. On this page we will give you a brief summary of what we offer on this topic.

Automated local copy system

The local copy systems we use are with a NAS server. Multiple copies of different days are usually made so that if necessary it can be recovered to the point that is needed.
It is recommended to combine it with other copy systems in order to have the most secure system of all to avoid any data loss at all. A very famous system of very high security of data copies is 3-2-1, which we will talk about next.
Likewise, without that 3-2-1 method, it is recommended to have at least a second backup of copies, since there is some possibility that if you only have one, it could fail at an inopportune moment, and without any type of backup. .

3-2-1 SECURITY BACKUPS

The 3-2-1 system refers to a highly secure redundant backup system in case any of the systems fail, and you don't want to lose a single day of work.

The scheme is actually simple. What you need to do is the following:

  • 3 backups in total
  • 2 different supports where we have these backups
  • 1 external or offline backup, physically away from the location

Those two local backups of the 3-2-1 system would be with two different supports, for greater security.

One of the supports could be on a central NAS server. That copy would be the one we would have available all the time, and consequently the most vulnerable.

The second backup would be DAS, on an external device or hard drive, which, except for making the backup or recovering data, would always remain disconnected from the rest of the local computer network. That would give you a very high degree of security.
