The scam in question is the fact that people who are not part of the organization pretend to be technicians in order to get money from users in exchange for specialized tasks.<br\/><br\/>To anticipate falling into this trap it is important to note that as a general rule, <strong>Microsoft does not proactively send maintenance-related custom emails<\/strong>. In the same vein, <strong>do not call users if they have not previously requested<\/strong>.
